National Conference on

EMERGING VISTAS IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

May 16 & 17, 2025

Abstract submission deadline extended till 31st March 2025

The conference

Emerging Vistas in Chemical Engineering is a two day National Conference that would focus on harnessing innovative solutions to process problems by the practising Chemical Engineers, for ensuring a sustainable future for our Country. The chemical engineering landscape is undergoing a transformative shift, driven by the convergence of artificial intelligence(AI), additive manufacturing (AM) and decarbonisation. AI is revolutionising engineering practises in general and is capable of unlocking newer efficiencies for the designers. AM can transform product realisation and redefine industry standards. The concepts of Decarbonisation and Green Hydrogen are capable of pioneering sustainable solutions for a low-carbon future. This conference is designed to serve as a platform for experts to discuss these emerging trends in terms of their impact on the way chemical engineering is learnt/ practised as well as on the newer application areas that are expected to unfold in near future.

The conference provides for keynote presentations, panel discussions, exhibition space and limitless networking opportunities for the delegates.

The Venue

Located at the south-western tip of Indian subcontinent, Thiruvananthapuram, which is also known as Trivandrum, is a calm beautiful and quiet city. It is the capital of Kerala (God’s own country) and is a much-sought-after tourist destination. Referred to by Mahatma Gandhi as the “Evergreen City of India”, the city is characterized by its undulating terrain of low coastal hills and a long coast line full of coconut trees. Thiruvananthapuram is a major tourist centre, known for the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the beaches of Kovalam & Varkala (cliff), the backwaters of Poovar and Anchuthengu and Western Ghats tracts of Ponmudi and the Agastyamala. Thiruvananthapuram is also a notable research hub and is home to research centres such as Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, the mother centre of Indian Space Research Organisation, Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre, National Institute of Interdisciplinary Science and Technology, Indian Institute of Science Education & Research, Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology and many more. Thiruvananthapuram is well connected by air, rail and road with other parts of the country. Details of travel /hotel booking in the city are available in the website www.keralatourism.org of Kerala Tourism Development Corporation.
