Emerging Vistas in Chemical Engineering is a two day National Conference that would focus on harnessing innovative solutions to process problems by the practising Chemical Engineers, for ensuring a sustainable future for our Country. The chemical engineering landscape is undergoing a transformative shift, driven by the convergence of artificial intelligence(AI), additive manufacturing (AM) and decarbonisation. AI is revolutionising engineering practises in general and is capable of unlocking newer efficiencies for the designers. AM can transform product realisation and redefine industry standards. The concepts of Decarbonisation and Green Hydrogen are capable of pioneering sustainable solutions for a low-carbon future. This conference is designed to serve as a platform for experts to discuss these emerging trends in terms of their impact on the way chemical engineering is learnt/ practised as well as on the newer application areas that are expected to unfold in near future
The conference provides for keynote presentations, panel discussions, exhibition space and limitless networking opportunities for the delegates.
Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) is a national body of professional Chemical Engineers headquartered at Kolkata with about 32000 members across the country with 48 regional centres as well as 190 Student Chapters with the active participation from various academic institutes and industries. IIChE began its journey on May 18, 1947. IIChE Trivandrum Regional Centre (TVRC) was established in the year 1984. This centre is one of the oldest among the 48 regional centres of IIChE. TVRC has more than 180 members from R & D institutes, academic institutions, industries, organizations located in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts of Kerala.
